For me, having everything in one place is key. I've been using a pocket Moleskine for the past five years. It provides a good combination of portability and permanence.

I really enjoy your blog!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5763264385856038915.post-41717312190356054152010-12-14T22:07:49.317+00:002010-12-14T22:07:49.317+00:00Oh wow! I will see if I can order internationally, if not, I have a friend in US who often orders things for me then sends them over.
I knew you would have a good suggestion :)
xMiss Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15685939340198517455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5763264385856038915.post-27047570723437039282010-12-14T14:56:30.031+00:002010-12-14T14:56:30.031+00:00Nellie,

I saw these in the store awhile back and when I read your comment, they sounded perfect for what you are looking for. I was interested in getting one just to read it! (I already have my planner set for 2011.) They have softcover versions (saw red and teal online) and hardcover (black).

Here is the info copied from website (hopefully it is ok to do this):
The 2011 edition in the popular Barnes & Noble Desk Diary series celebrates Classic First Lines chosen from a diverse selection of classic and modern novels, short fiction, literary nonfiction, and poetry. This handsome, richly illustrated planner provides a convenient weekly agenda format, monthly calendar grids, and a year of fascinating literary lore in a durable, handcrafted binding.

Savor opening lines from dozens of famous works of literature, accompanied by brief descriptive texts about the works and their authors. Also included is a literary quiz, lists of prize-winning novels, a supplement of classic world maps, an essay from the Barnes & Noble Review, and other special features.Karensahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06682248935829722645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5763264385856038915.post-62944717736317338832010-12-13T21:45:05.678+00:002010-12-13T21:45:05.678+00:00Hi Nellie,

I do remember seeing a literary theme planner in one of the bookstores, I think it was Waterstones? That was last year though so I don't know if they are making it this year. I seem to remember it was Waterstone's own brand, and was a desk size planner.

Does anyone know any more about literary-theme planners? It sounds like it would be a really great gift!Lauriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03550291806241735598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5763264385856038915.post-47882903717742349692010-12-13T21:20:07.441+00:002010-12-13T21:20:07.441+00:00This is a bit off topic, but I read your blog and ...This is a bit off topic, but I read your blog and enjoy your reviews and thought you might be able to help. I am looking for a planner which has a literary theme. I can find lots of reading logs, but thats not really what I want. It is as a present for a friend, and I would like a nice diary for her. Any ideas?
Thanks!Miss Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15685939340198517455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5763264385856038915.post-58129042467782451812010-12-13T17:02:04.432+00:002010-12-13T17:02:04.432+00:00Stefee that is a great idea! Until this year I had been using a large Moleskine day per page as my journal (which I did for 2 or 3 years in a row) and I would write my own stuff and also cute things the kids did and said, which I later compiled into their own separate journals that I started when each of them were born. I like the idea of sticking in those meaningful little scraps of paper! Great idea. :)Lauriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03550291806241735598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5763264385856038915.post-2120625393554132372010-12-13T15:44:06.969+00:002010-12-13T15:44:06.969+00:00Hey Laurie,

I’m thinking the hard cover Large Daily might make a cute memory book for a child. I don’t know how old they are, but believe they are school-age. You or they could journal a few sentences each day, it’s where party invitations could go, cards they receive, ticket stubs to movies, cute things they said that day, height/weight info, etc. Their little drawings or pictures could be pasted down too. Or maybe you already have a scrapbook for them. I didn’t for my DD, and I recently started her on a similar journal/planner/scrapbook. Finally a place for all the little “magical” bits of paper!!! And an awesome way for kids to begin to journal. She esp. loves decorating it with little stickers.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08372390763777474988noreply@blogger.com
