I was gifted with a lovely bag from this company for Christmas last year and I had never heard of them! The bag is beautiful in its simplicity and it's a good light commuting bag! Thanks for the review, I will have to look into the moleskine folio though at the moment I am using a 300 page Miquelrius that won't fit... :)

As an alternative a double zipper that allows a user to make a choice about whether to zip up, down or have the two meet in the middle could be the best of both worlds.

Hi Laurie. Greetings from Port Hueneme (near Oxnard in Southern California), where I'm about to begin the final day of my 500-mile bicycle ride from SF to Long Beach to attend the TED conference. Thank you so much for your thorough review of the Folio. I'm delighted you like your Folio and your Mini Zero bag. I love your fabric and color choices for both the Folio and the Mini. I hear you on the zipper orientations. I haven't stored change in the inside zippered pocket, so your comment about coins tumbling out makes complete sense. As for the main zipper, my reason for this orientation is to avoid catching the placemarker ribbon of the Moleskine journal in the zipper. That said, I understand your desire to allow longer items to protrude from the top with the Folio partially zipped. I'll add that to the list of possible design modifications for the next prototype.
