That's true NOW but it wasn't before. My current "job" is my blog and that is definitely in the same planner as my personal because they overlap. But I used to work as a legal assistant in a law office and I did NOT combine my planners. I used an electronic program for my work planner. The naure of legal work is that it's confidential so it was not appropriate to use the same planner. Plus it was my job and I did not bring work home with me. So it made sense to keep them separate.
pattygardner.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08465166654988101342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5763264385856038915.post-17980017225881243802012-09-06T14:17:53.581+01:002012-09-06T14:17:53.581+01:00I work both free-lance and part time and frequentl...I work both free-lance and part time and frequently from home. If I had a different planner for my various different jobs I'd be hopelessly confused. So I'm all for all in the one place. Having said that I have a Textagenda for daily diary and notes which lives in my bag and an A4 Uncalendar which I use for planning, lists etc.and lives in an A4 Domino Folder.

I have two other planners for specific tasks, a House Book (similar to the Flylady Control Journal)- an A5 Domino Filofax and Personal Domino Filofax which I use for notes, planning and ideas for my books.

The absolute rule though is that they all (plus my mini pencil case) must be oxblood ... sad I know, but I can't imagine having anything in any other colour!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5763264385856038915.post-70463923730431411032012-09-05T08:38:55.374+01:002012-09-05T08:38:55.374+01:00Yes! It was just too complicated. I would forget to carry the work binder and end up taking notes in my personal. I would copy everything into my personal to make sure I had it if I found need. It's easier for me to keep everything in one book. I don't look at work stuff away from work, generally. But I feel secure that if I need anything I'm likely to have it with me. The only problem with this is that my 30mm ringed binder is totally stuffed full at all times. I wanted to downsize my personal to a compact and thought an A5 for work. So far I carry them both with me because Im worried I will need to put something in the one I dont have in me! Back to the drawing board for me. I was writing a blight about it when I realised it wasn't working yet.Anthannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12947652383302861908noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5763264385856038915.post-71357519603289203082012-09-04T19:21:40.560+01:002012-09-04T19:21:40.560+01:00One life. Every morning I write down my 3-4 most important work to-dos for the day in the notes section at the bottom of Textagenda page. I do keep a separate work notebook that stays on my desk at work. It has all my notes and a longer, more detailed to do list that's applicable for several weeks at a time. - BethAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5763264385856038915.post-71763388779807693522012-09-04T13:20:56.931+01:002012-09-04T13:20:56.931+01:00Hi Alice, thanks for your comment. I cannot quite imagine keeping work and personal in separate books, I think I would rapidly have a planner fail. In my life, I've found a key to success is to simplify everything as much as possible. I also tend to be somewhat scatter brained and recall personal tid-bits while at work and vice versa.
