I've begun reading all I can on this general topic as my 23 year old daughter has decided to relocate to China [all by herself] to help begin a preschool/daycare school for Chinese children age five and under. She came upon this [opportunity] during May of this year, and decided to go crashing into the waves as opposed to wading into the water. She thinks she will be located in or around Beijing, like that's comforting to her parents. An all American girl with no idea, no preparation, and no real experience is moving to China in a couple of months for an extended stay. Send me in coach ... I don't need a helmet. So, this article is particularly germane to what's going on in my home at the present. Thank you.dapvhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15884282469035171290noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5763264385856038915.post-90440655992228841212012-06-26T22:15:04.324+01:002012-06-26T22:15:04.324+01:00Hmm, what a great question! But I will think about this and will definitely include it in another post! The short answer is, there's always something that I thought was so important before I moved but turned out not to be important. This is usually in my air shipment, which arrives about a month after moving. It's always interesting, like a time capsule, so see what I considered so important before my move! And inevitably there's something I didn't pack in my luggage that I wish I had. This time it's stuff from my kids' classes, like farewell books the kids all signed and things like that. My kids are missing their friends horribly, and any memorabilia would have been good to pack.Lauriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03550291806241735598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5763264385856038915.post-5735801938676615952012-06-26T21:48:35.838+01:002012-06-26T21:48:35.838+01:00I am curious if there was something you thought es...I am curious if there was something you thought essential at the beginning of your moves that you later abandoned, and what you later found indispensible that hadn't seemed important before the move. Doesn't have to be a "thing."mstraathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07750504911576278453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5763264385856038915.post-4774053106741902382012-06-26T14:13:36.059+01:002012-06-26T14:13:36.059+01:00This is very good advice. This is very good advice.gdigesuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11651977530203015614noreply@blogger.com
