The Ides of March

I missed it! Yesterday was the middle of March ("Beware the Ides of March!"). It was also the birthday of a long-time friend of mine, so happy birthday to her!

And thanks to Charlie Gilkey, the middle of the month makes me think of a Mid-Month Review. I'm not going to steal his mojo (not that I even could, and anyway the man's got plenty of mojo to spare), so go take a look at his excellent post about it.

Last month was my first experience with his Mid-Month review process, and I found it so useful that I was really looking forward to it this month. It really helps me get back on the rails when I need to (especially this month when things are going not at all the way I expected them to). I find it really useful to take a step back halfway through the month, evaluate what I've accomplished so far, and figure out what I need to do for the rest of the month.

What about you? How is your month going? Humming along nicely? Or, like me, do you need a little nudge to get you "back on the rails?"

  1. Hello! I know this does not really pertain to this post but I have a question for you. I am a college sophomore and I am trying to make some serious lifestyle changes because the easy access to bad dining hall food is not being a good thing. And I feel that a journal/diary or something would be better at keeping me on track. So I am wondering if you know of anything that is already set up to track food and exercise and weekly/monthly ect/ goals. Thanks a lot! =D

  2. Hi Rachel,

    1) Comments of any kind are always welcome, whether they pertain to the post or not! :D

    2) The first thing that comes to mind is the new Moleskine Passions Wellness Journal:

    http://www.moleskineus.com/mbl25-moleskine-passions-wellness-journal.html

I haven't seen one personally, but it has space to track diet, exercise, medical stuff, body stats etc.

The Passions line of journals is brand new from Moleskine, and people over on Twitter have been talking about them a lot, so that might be a good place to ask too.

Any Plannerisms readers know about the Wellness Journal? What do you think?

Is there anything else you would recommend instead?
