The Week Dominator planner

I have to admit, normally I ignore Kickstarter requests (so PLEASE don't bombard me with yours!) because it seems like everybody and their brother is plugging something on Kickstarter these days. Yawn.

BUT.

When Jesse emailed me to tell me about The Week Dominator planner, well, with a name like that, how could I resist!!!

And wow, check this out: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/77516971/the-week-dominator-a-beautiful-canvas-to-tackle-go  I want one!!

It's got full size (8 1/2 by 11 inch) pages so there's loads of room to brain dump and sort your plans. The weeks are undated so you can use it only when you need it. There's space for your schedule, notes, and gratitude (!).

There's also pages for weekly reviews and tracking, dot grid pages for notes/ sketches, and what's working vs not working. It looks like you could rule the world with this thing.

The entire year comes in two books of 26 weeks each so there's plenty of room for all the features and nice thick paper without the book weighing a ton. Other features include a vegan leather hard cover, and a wire binding so the book lays totally flat.

As soon as I've got this in my hands I'll post a big review of it. I love seeing planners like this!

  1. wow, this does look familiar very much like the Plannerism one with a twist, like it....

  2. Looks amazing. If I was a spiral bound planner user, I'd be more than tempted.

    1. Well you know, you could always remove the binding and punch the pages to fit a Monarch size Franklin Covey...just sayin'. ;)

    2. maybe it would be more profitable for them to sell as a digital download for us to print off for our planners

    3. I see your point, but the total package looks great and I think the vibe would be lost in a download version.

    4. There is of course an element of truth in that, however I have a real aversion to wire ringed planners/ notebooks. Also I don't get why they have to call it vegan leather two words that really don't go together. Apart from those minor things it really is a good set up for planning.

    5. Also a digital download is subject to vat, Hmrc has not found a way to be able to collect it. So at the moment if I do order I am at the mercy of the postal/ courier coding if I pay vat on it.

    6. Good point on not having to be at the mercy of customs and international shipping!

    7. This is why so many people are confused why their Hobonichi order they had to pay vat on and others didn't, if your parcel isn't coded correctly it can work for you and against you at the same time

  3. Love that it has a space for people with busy early morning hours!!! Agree Laurie, a FC Monarch would be the ticket.

  4. How funny. I was just thinking to myself about what I would really like to use, really truly, because the personal and compact size, after restarting yet again, are just too frightfully stifling for me, and I thought why not go full size. And here's your blog post - can't wait for your full review and perhaps ordering information.

    1. Christine if you click through the link in the post it takes you to their Kickstarter page where you can order just this planner, or for a little more money the planner plus a couple of extras, to ship when printing is done later this year. See their page for details. I don't know how many they are planning to print.

    2. Thank you, Laurie! Our minimum to print is 2,000. We may not sell through those, we'll see. Since we decided to sell two books of 6 months for $32, we might print more.

I've seen that a lot of people like a smaller size to carry with them, or fit in a purse, so we might try to modify it to work for that size and look at printing it. The trouble is, it's almost just as expensive to do a smaller size, so we've been reticent to go there yet.

  5. They got all the money they needed? According to the Kickstarter page I just looked at, they're saying the project is still almost $2900 shy of making their goal (with 27 days left to go) so they can print. I hope you're right and they've made it!

    1. As of right now they are at $13,336, just shy of their goal of $15,000. What I meant was, if you want one of these you can order it through their Kickstarter page. If you click through the link above you can see how you can get these planners. If you pledge at least $32 you get the basic set, etc.

    2. (I pledged to make sure I get a set, because I'm guessing once these are live they'll go fast.)

    3. As of today they have exceeded their goal of $15,000! Congratulations Jesse!

    1. My pleasure Jesse! I'm really happy for you and your team for exceeding your $$ goal already. I think you've got a great product and I love your concept. Looking forward to seeing your planner and what you come out with next! :)

  7. Argh, stop making me want things!! (Because this looks really cool, which is just bad for impulsive ADHD woman!) I really like the space & the way it's laid out very much matches the way I think, plus includes some good prompts to dig a little deeper. I hope they meet much success!
